“Isang Platitong Hustisya” is the Twitter Web Series We Never Knew We Needed

Feature ⬝ Real Jhon Castillon

“Manahimik ka witch/bitch!”

An old-fashioned yet iconic punch line in Pinoy teleseryes when two or more characters are caught up in a heated confrontation, is the same line that is now making rounds online particularly on Twitter. Thanks to Phillip Hernandez aka “Davao Conyo” who revived not just this punch line but also our love-hate relationship with the common tropes that we’ve grown or are used to seeing in Pinoy teleseryes.

“Isang Platitong Hustisya”, is the surprise hit Twitter web series starred, executive produced, line produced, production designed, directed, written by Phillip himself (Yes, we’re not exaggerating. He did it all by himself). Each episode banks on the recurring punch lines and scenes commonly used or seen in a typical Pinoy teleserye from then and now.

We don’t have an idea where the title of the series comes from but we’re living. Maybe he’s low key talking about the unfair, selective justice system in the country almost equivalent to a saucer or we’re probably just overthinking things? But one thing’s for sure though – we just want them to keep coming. With what’s going on in the country right now, all of us could use a little laugh and this mini series is giving us THAT.

And can we talk about how it has better story and character development than any of the available web series online? Netflix and iwantv, you know what to do. Seal that deal already!

If you haven’t watched it yet, then what are you doing? Head over to his Twitter account now and stream the episodes for FREE. Or if it’s too much of inconvenience in your part, we’ve compiled all of them here. Enjoy!
