Mindanao’s 24-hour Filmmaking Challenge goes online
The Guerrilla Filmathon – country’s premiere filmmaking challenge – announced on Monday that the 24-hour filmmaking challenge will be fully online this year. And the stakes are much higher.
In a Facebook post by The Guerrilla Filmathon, the eighth edition of the said event will be “the most challenging edition in the history of filmmaking yet.”
With the theme “Screen Life” edition, filmmakers will be challenged to make a short film in the "screen life" sub-genre. Unlike the previous editions, the challenges and obstacles for this year’s filmathon will be conducted online and as The Guerrilla Filmathon claimed “NOT for the timid and weak-hearted.”
Winners will receive P50,000 worth of prizes.
The Guerrilla Filmathon is a filmmaking competition where teams of filmmakers produce their short films in only 24 hours and at the same time face adventure-race-style challenges and obstacles.
Deadline of submissions is on October 11, 2020.
The Guerrilla Filmathon 8: Screen Life Edition is open to all filmmakers nationwide.
