Amazing prizes await for the winners of this year’s Viddsee Juree Awards!
It’s that time of the year again where short films from all over the Philippines vie for the best short film at the coveted Viddsee Juree Awards. Unlike their previous edition, this year’s Philippine edition categorized the competition into two — Viddsee Jury Awards Luzon and Viddsee Jury Awards Visayas and Mindanao.
Just last May 24, 2021, the Viddsee Juree Awards announced via their website the official film entries for this year’s run. Five short films from Mindanao made it to the In-Competition category list namely: “Living Dead” by Conrad dela Cruz, “Maglabay Ra In Samir” by Mijan Jumalon, “And Then There’s One” by Earl Hendrix Reyes, “The Conveyor Belt” by Wowa Medroso, "Hija" by Christian Paul Lim and the sole animated film among the list, “A Love Letter from Space” by Hanns Scheewe.
Films that did not make it to the cut have been programmed for Exhibition or Out of Competition and will still get a chance to win the Audience Choice Award. Announcement of winners will be on June 14, 2021.
Winners will take home a trophy, a Viddsee Filmmaker Kit, and a Rode VideoMic Me Directional Mic for Phone (for the winning film).
Check out the entries here and don’t forget to cast your vote.
